Most people service their car at recommended intervals, Engine, Oil and filters, fuel filters, coolant and brake fluid etc.
But one of the most important components the automatic transmission is often overlooked.
Some manufacturers say filled for life, some say when needed, but we believe transmission fluid contaminated with debris from clutches, bands and bushes can cause premature failure of solenoids and other components within the automatic transmission which can result in major transmission failure.
We recommend service intervals of 24 months or 40,000 kms for automatic transmissions using fully synthetic fluid. If using other oils the automatic transmission should be serviced every 12 months or 20,000km’s.
Regular servicing can detect minor problems and can be repaired before they develop into major failure.
During servicing we look for and check:
• Oil Leaks from seals, O rings and gaskets
• Rear Wheel Drive – Extension Housing Bushes & Seals and Universal Joints
• Front Wheel Drive – Driveshafts, Seals & C.V Boots
• Coolant Contamination
• Excess Debris in pan & on Magnets
On Road Test We Check:
• Engine Performance
• Transmission Performane – Shift Timing & Feel
